I'm buying a 1976 Courier and my neighbor offered to lend me his vehicle dolly so I can tow it home. Being a manual, rear-wheel drive truck, I figure there shouldn't be an issue towing it with the rear wheels on the ground, provided it's in neutral - but I know there are exceptions.
Does anyone know of a reason why this wouldn't be transmission-safe for a manual Courier?

I didn't end up using the dolly to bring my truck home. I thought my neighbor's dolly looked a bit dodgy, so I rented a trailer.
I think a dolly would be fine though, for the record.
