Let's go ahead and start a general thread compiling some info on what's needed to do these swaps!
For starters, where should you be looking for an engine to swap in?
The 2.3Turbo wsa optional as a blow through carbed setup in 1979 and 80 in the Mustang and Mercury Capri, and in the 1980 Fairmont
The Fuel injected, intercooled variant was used in Mustang SVO's from 83-86 and Thunderbird TurboCoupes from 87-88. (the 2.3t was still in 85-86 Thunderbirds but wasn't intercooled).
Merkur xr4ti 1985-89
Mercury Cougar XR-7 1984-86
Power output:
83-84 SVO, Xr4ti (all years), 83-86 Turbccoupe, Cougar (all years): 155hp, 190 fl-lb
85-86 SVO: 175 HP, bumped to 205hp for 1985.5
87-88 Turbocoupe: 190hp, 240ft-lb after intercooling
What makes the 2.3t different from the regular Lima 2.3 in my second gen with a turbo slapped on?
The pistons are forged and better set to hold higher levels of boost in the factory turbocharged variant, and I believe the head is slightly different as well (will look into more and update here). The oil return drain is already in the block and saves you the hassle of drilling it out.
What all do I need to do to make the 2.3t Fit in my truck?
First, you'll need to source a front sump oil pan to replace the stock rear sump from the above applications so that your new motor will clear the crossmember. I'm also told that the dipstick needs to be moved to the front of the block from it's stock location to remain accessible.
Where can I get aftermarket parts for my 2.3t?
Esslinger sells some stuff, but Stinger performance seems to be the go-to place for upgrades.
This is all super basic for now. I will gather more info and continue to update here. Want to read more in the meantime?

Please add your experience with swapping in a 2.3t if you have done so or just if you have one. Pictures of mounts, wiring info, etc. all help others.
