Hello Courier fans. After a long search, I finally found the truck I was looking for! A sweet 72 all original with only 97K miles. Not bad for a 50-year old! I have just started my education and looking forward to learning from this forum. Looks like maybe not much action on here? Can't wait to get in to this truck. I know it needs brakes and a clutch slave cylinder and probably a few other bits like any other old vehicle. Its runs and shifts great so at least I can move it around. I think it wont take much to get it sorted out.

Hey, How's the build going? I'm in California too, Santa Barbara, I may be driving North this weekend to pick up a 74, trying to make a deal. We'll see.

I'm making a little progress. Finally got the brakes sorted out. Put on new shoes and got all the adjusters freed up. This truck sat for over 20 years(!) so things were a little sticky. BUT being from back east where these trucks have largely melted into a pile of rust, I am constantly amazed at how easily things on this one come apart. Right now I am replacing the fuse block and cleaning up some wiring. Hopefully everything will be energized and working soon. Slowly getting a to-do list together and a box of parts.....
So did you buy the V8 '74? I bought my truck from a retired auto glass installer. He was able to source a windshield but not a back glass. He ended up cutting a piece and using a different "universal" rubber to install it. So I got it with new front and rear glass, a new alternator and belts, and four new tires!
