Done in under an hour, even treating the 40-year-old (& I'm a tad embarrased about that last part, but yer gonna know as soon as I post pics & you see those fabric covered babies) hoses like archaeological specimens, on account of I didn't have money for replacements. Still came out like a bad tooth. It hangs from 2 horizontal little threaded studs, easily accessed from under the hood at the cowl (mind yer knuckles on the wiper linkage), plus one more vertical bolt holding up the vent-feed conduit. It just hangs there, kinda like an afterthought. Now I'm gonna backflush the core & then drill a tiny hole through the little nipple on the back of the blower motor, so's I can oil that bearing. I'm literally getting more convective heat off the motor-case than from the air it's moving - & it's moving pretty good air! LOL!!!! Thinkin' maybe down the line I'll build my own replacement unit with a bigger motor, cage & core. pics soon to follow. Just taking a break while my phone takes a charge...

Occurs to me this would be a better fit in the "interiors' section. Anyway - pics. green circles depict fastener locations. Bear in mind I wasn't terribly concerned with saving my cables - gripped & ripped: Attachments:

With the exception, of course, of the vent-feed cable. Need that, for now - till I can seal off the side opening on that passenger side conduit. EDIT: Changed muh mind - wired the flippin' thing SHUT. If only I could do that with my 33yo daughter's trap...
