Just wondering if I should prime the oil pump and maybe replace the fuel in he tank for some fresh gas before starting. Does the oil pump prime from underneath the distributor like other cars? If so, would a regular pump primer that I use for a SBF work?

if its 2.3 then the distributor is the same shaft that the oilpump is driven on... disconnect coil wire and turn the motor over till the oil light goes off, reinstall coil wire also would drain fuel from carb and use water seperator like heet and some fresh gas 93 in tank.. other then that make sure theirs no rats nests in air cleaner
