Greetings. It's a lot to ask, I know, but I'm trying to rehab this little rust bucket I drove up to PGH from West Virginia a month ago and I'm looking for insider information on the best, smartest and most indispensable improvements and modifications to make, trying to come up with a plan.

Give me an idea of what kind of shape it is in and what you want to do with it. I know . . . it's rusted to hell right? But where are the worst spots and what is the goal. Make it serviceable? Make it beautiful? Make it drive great and to hell with what it looks like? You get the idea, there are tons of things that can be done, it's all about the goal you have in mind.

What Chip said. One of the best upgrades you can do is disk brakes, but you have to have certain parts for that and it might not be the dirt cheap mods you're looking for, though it's certainly not expensive. Beyond that almost any inline 4's or V8's will swap in if you're willing to put in the effort.
