I just rebuilt the carb on a 73. When i turn it on the engine idles high ~1500rpm. I have trying adjusting both idle screws. One makes it faster the other does nothing.
What else can i check?

Is your throttle hooked up correctly? I know it's a dumb question but that's the kind of mistake I would make, haha. Otherwise, hopefully someone who has spent more time with these carbs will chime in.

I assume when you say two idle screws, you mean the idle mixture adjustment and the actual idle screw that is on the linkage? Set the idle mixture screw to about 3 turns out, then adjust the on that is on the linkage. If this won't bring the idle down then start looking for vacuum leaks.
