Hello all! I finally started looking around to find another Courier forum, since FCC vanished without trace. And here it is! I have had two Couriers over the years, first was a '74 that I bought from a friend of mine 30-some years ago. I rebuilt that motor twice and put about 125,000 miles on it. (it already had 150k plus when I bought it). Finally sold that one in favor of the '66 GTO that I was working on at that time. Then a few years ago I decided it was time for a project and found the '73 that I have now. I did a quick and dirty "restoration" on it, including a total rebuild of the engine. It had dropped a valve seat and chewed itself to bits and I picked it up for $400. Once it was on the road again, I drove it off-and-on for two or three years. But the itch to do something cool got the better of me and I decided to turn it into a race car (truck) for SCTA land speed racing. I've been working on it for about a year now and it is very nearly ready for its shakedown run. I'll be running in the production mini-truck class and using the factory 1.8l motor, not exactly stock any more though. I'll post some photos as soon as I figure out how to do it on this board. Anyone out there done serious performance mods to the stock engine?

Here is a pic of what it looked like after the first "Restoration".

Hi Steve, Yes I thought I recognized a few of the handles on this site. I'm looking forward to having a community to converse with again. It's been lonely!
